Meshek Energy is one of the leading companies in the field of renewable energies in Israel. Meshek Energy was founded in 2016 and it was issued on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in June 2020. The company is active in diverse areas of renewable energy including: large-scale ground-based solar projects, roof top solar arrays, floating solar plants on reservoirs, power storage facilities and infrastructures for electrically powered transportation.

Entrepreneurship is a valued precept in Meshek Energy’s worldview. Hence, the company suits itself to the sector’s ever-changing dynamics, constantly evaluating business opportunities that coincide with its core areas in the energy sectors, for example,” SolAgro” activity that combines solar production and sustainable agriculture, Waste to Energy projects and entering the commercial realm of electricity.

The company and the agricultural settlements have a strong, historical affinity, it is presently controlled by 8 financial organizations that form an association of 280 kibbutzim in Israel. The rest of the company’s shares are held by institutional and public investors. Concurrent with its focus on agricultural settlements, the company is also active within private land allotments, industrial and commercial zones, the Arab and Bedouin sectors and more.

Meshek Enegry’s core activity is initiation, development, building and operation of large-scale ground-based projects. The company owns some 143MW of income-producing ground-based projects. Furthermore, in 2021-2023, the company will be building additional ground-based projects in a scope of 200MW and promoting the development of additional projects in a scope of 2,000MW. Meshek Energy has proved its capacity to maintain long-term engagements with landowners, while forming true partnerships with them in the projects.

Combining solar installations with agricultural crops (maximizing the use of agricultural land) is an essential step in fulfilling Israel’s renewable energy goals. For that purpose, Meshek Energy has entered into an agreement with the Volcani Center to draw up work protocols that will enable maintaining and enhancing the agricultural activity underneath the solar activity.
The Company has submitted 49 proposals in 24 locations as a part of the Request for Offers of the Israeli Energy and Agriculture Ministries, out of a 139 proposals submitted in total.

As part of the global green revolution and as part of our mission to reduce the use of fossil fuels, through partnering with Sonol and their joint holding in a subsidiary company, Meshek Energy is working to promote the deployment of charging stations for electric vehicles. In the framework of the company’s activity it was awarded numerous tenders published in local authorities and central commercial areas throughout the country. Furthermore, the company is working on setting up hundreds of charging stations in the kibbutz sector to form a national kibbutz network. Meshek Energy believes that creating a substantial infrastructure of charging stations will serve as a significant catalyst to adopt the use of electric vehicles in Israel, it will promote the reduction of the use of dirty fuels and will provide a clean and sustainable future.
